Google AppsKeeping your precious company data and information requires money, time, and competency.   As your company gets bigger and bigger, the need for secured business data increases and becomes very costly.  In the meantime, securing emails in terms of deliver-ability is a big deal unless you work with professionals. That’s not all.  When you start thinking from the beginning, it covers many areas such as backing up your information (your business files, emails, bookmarks, etc.).  As we entered to an era of mobile communicating, it is also important to access your business data on the move.

To combine every aspect in one single source, we, as MIS Computer, switched to Google Apps.  Now, we can benefit from the services of cloud computing.  For instance,

1.) Our emails are in the cloud and we can access all of them with our browsers such IE, Firefox, Chrome, Opera, etc. from anywhere in the world and any computer with an Internet access.

2.) We can also upload our important files to Google Docs so that we don’t need to even take our computer with us when we are out for a business trip.

3.) Now, it is easier to reinstall the OS to our computers (Ubuntu Linux is preferred in MIS Computer) as we don’t need to back up everything and reinstall this data after formatting the hard drive.

4.) Another important benefit for us is email deliverability.  Unfortunately, this spam or junk mail issue becomes worse and worse and business mails has already started to be affected from it.  For instance, you receive an inquiry from your customer regarding to pricing of an MIS cartridge refill machine.  And you simply reply and provide the necessary information.  However, your email does not get to the address, because it is stuck at spam filter of the recipient mail server.  Throughout the years, we have made many amendments in our MX settings, however, we couldn’t find an easy or understandable way to make sure that our mails will be delivered.   Finally, with the recommendation of our hosting provider, we seriously thought about switching to Google Apps, and voila !

5.) We have already delivered Blackberry mobile phones to our staff so that they can access their emails and other business data even they are on the move.  And hopefully, Google Apps can also easily be integrated with Blackberry devices.

To make it short, switching to Google Apps really helped us focus on our business, cut our costs, increase the efficiency, and not worry about other stuff.
